Caroline is currently working as an Advanced Clinical (Nurse) Practitioner (ACP) in Limb reconstruction/Frame at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) alongside consultant teams.

Qualifying as a registered nurse in 1995 with a Diploma in Nursing and soon after graduating with a first degree in BSc (hons) in health studies, she commenced her nursing career in elective orthopaedics gaining 10 years ward based experience at NUH, before moving into one of the first positions at the Trust as an Elective Orthopaedics Nurse Practitioner role in 2005, being influential here in developing the role and nurse-led clinics at Nottingham. She has been working as a Nurse Practitioner in Limb Reconstruction and Major Trauma since 2014.
